Tai pirmoji jaunesniųjų moksleivių drausmingumo apraiška, turinti didelę reikšmę dorovinei asmenybės patirčiai. Didėjant paauglio savarankiškumui, paklusnumas mažėja tada, kai išryškėja suaugusiųjų ir mokinių priešprieša, kurią mokiniai suvokia kaip vyresniųjų pralaimėjimą, neteisingumą. Paauglystės amžiuje ypač svarbu ugdyti sąmoningą drausmę, išaiškinti motyvus, padedančius suvokti drausmės būtinumą kolektyvo ir asmenybės gyvenime, iniciatyvumo ir kūrybingumo reikšmę bendro gyvenimo normoms. Labai svarbus pedagogų asmeninis pavyzdys ir autoritetas, paskatų sistema. Priverstinis, aklas paklusnumas žalingas darnios asmenybės vystymuisi, atsiranda veidmainiavimo, pataikavimo, prisitaikėliškumo apraiškų. atitikmenys: angl. obedience vok.
